Presenter: Dr. Mohadesseh Poorghanād, Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor

This session focused on learning and analyzing couple therapy skills in EFT, with Dr. Poorghanād raising attention to the importance of the therapist’s focusing and presence, attention to co-regulation and meaningful attunement with couple’s protective behavior and what goes on behind it. She used George Faller’s training video to clarify these concepts. As the session was very well received, it was decided that either Dr. Poorghanād or other supervisors would continue with the topic in IREFT’s upcoming events. The concepts discussed were of high relevance and practicality for EFT couple therapists.
