Topic: Heart of Change in EFT
Enactment constitutes the heart of in EFCT. The emotionally focused couple therapist tries to go deeper with the couple and bring a major shift in how the couple usually interact with each other. This change takes place via accessing their vulnerabilities and sharing this with their spouse. The following issues were discussed in the session: definition and the rationale for the efficacy of enactment, why clients might refuse enactment and what to do about it, why enactments fail, goals and functions of enactments, elements of enactment, how to enact an enactment, blocks and how to treat them, video presentation.
