Topic: Healing tender hearts in stage 2 – pursuer softening

In this session, Dr. Best talked about EFT techniques in working with stage 2 couples, particularly in pursuer softening. These techniques are primarily used in order to hold the kind and tender heart of pursuers and deepening stage two work.

Participants had the opportunity to learn about de-escalation and the use of RISSSSC in order to intensify and validate pursuer fears. This session also provided the chance to learn about the importance of supporting these tender hearts, emphasizing that until desire is felt more stronger than fear, we need to stay with these emotions so that pursuers can risk coming closer and feeling more intimate.

We hope that this session with Dr. Marlene Best has been helpful in enhancing our community’s understanding of EFT techniques and holding tender hearts in stage two work.
