Topic: Deepening the EFIT Tango
As a key instrument in EFT, Tango and its deepening is a main focus for many therapists. Move 5 of the EFT Tango is a crucial intervention in the work so in this session, Dr. Christine Weiss as a renowned figure in the field, combined the two important elements of systemic view and emotion in exploring the approaches and techniques of deepening the Tango and improving the efficacy of sessions.
Dr. Weiss started the session with talking about the basic goals of EFIT and continued to describe the three important stages of therapy. She thoroughly described the important techniques and interventions leading to going deeper in the five moves of the tango, like finding the trigger and initial perception of the issue, somatic responses, meaning making and action tendency in move two of the tango. She did the same for all five moves of the tango.
The participants had the opportunity to practice working with the Tango and the effective ways of deepening EFIT Tango in pair which helped to open up new ways to understand and think about this important topic.
