Topic: Adult Attachment and the Challenges of Measuring it in Psychotherapy (Journal Club Facilitated by Dr. Mona Cheraghi, Certified EFT Therapist and Supervisor in Training, IREFT Co-Chairwoman)
Dr. Zabihzade and Dr. Maleki talked about the concept of attachment in adulthood and its importance in psychotherapy. They then explained the concepts and different styles of attachment in adults and the challenges of measuring it within a psychotherapeutic-psychometric framework. Participants also had the opportunity to raise their questions about the measuring methods and approaches towards adult attachment. These discussions, given the different backgrounds and experiences of the discussants and the participants, were very helpful in coming up with new perspectives for everyone. The session ended with a grateful audience thanking the presenters for what they had brought to IREFT community.
